After months of anticipation and bureaucratic hurdles, downtown Winchester’s first cat café has finally opened its doors. Biscuits & Beans Cat Café, owned by retired couple Chris and Bambi Goebel, combines specialty coffee drinks with a noble mission: helping local cat rescues find homes for adoptable felines.
Despite delays involving state variances and the challenges of mixing food service with live animals, the Goebels’ perseverance paid off just in time for the Shenandoah Apple Blossom Festival, bringing both whimsy and forward momentum to Old Town Winchester’s walking mall.
